This video demonstrates how students do math more quickly with MathLine versus traditional manipulatives. This allows for students to have increased comprehension and retention of K-5 math.
Each child tested did 5 multiplication problems
Cain
Jayante
Time with MathLine
1:47
1:58
Time with Cubes
5:15
7:25
In other words, Cain completes about 3 times as many problems on MathLine given the same amount of time. Jayante completes about 4 times as many problems on MathLine given the same amount of time.
This means students learn a lot more. Think about what that means for whole classrooms of students working on MathLine throughout the class year.
